The challenge
Wasslz, a Jordan-based IoT enterprise, delivers end-to-end solutions for sectors like smart cities, agriculture, and logistics. Their platform is engineered to handle thousands of concurrent connected devices and uninterrupted data flow.
Our technical relationship with Wasslz dates back to 2018, when one of our founding engineers worked directly with the company as a full-time systems engineer, helping build and operate an infrastructure that reliably supported thousands of connected IoT devices.
As Wasslz grew, its original platform, hosted primarily on dedicated and bare-metal infrastructure, became increasingly constrained. Limited high-availability capabilities. The operational complexity of traditional server environments. The company needed a private cloud architecture with greater availability, flexibility, and infrastructure control.
The challenge was maintaining continuity. The platform was already operational. Disruption was not an option.
A second challenge involved software lifecycle management. Wasslz relied on several open-source components while maintaining company-specific customizations. The team needed to preserve local modifications, continuously benefit from upstream open-source development, avoid maintaining completely independent forks, and automate reliable application delivery.
Our solution
We engineered the migration of the platform from legacy bare-metal virtual machines to a resilient, enterprise-grade private cloud built on open-source infrastructure. Every stage was orchestrated to guarantee zero downtime and unbroken service continuity for mission-critical IoT operations.
We designed a more resilient and highly available private cloud architecture. Migrated production workloads incrementally to minimize operational disruption. Built CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate software delivery.
We established workflows that allowed Wasslz to maintain its own customizations while keeping selected open-source components synchronized with their upstream projects. Code and automation practices were structured so local business-specific changes could evolve without diverging from the open-source base.
Critical platform services were validated throughout the migration to protect the continuity of connected-device operations. The implementation built on our team's previous operational knowledge of Wasslz's IoT platform, so both the legacy infrastructure and the requirements of the new environment were understood in depth.

Business impact
The engagement enabled Wasslz to evolve its infrastructure alongside rapid IoT business growth, avoiding the risks and downtime of a disruptive platform overhaul.
By combining deep domain knowledge with cloud-native, DevOps, and open-source automation expertise, we migrated Wasslz from legacy bare-metal systems to a highly available, self-healing private cloud architecture while maintaining continuous uptime for thousands of active IoT devices.
This modernized foundation significantly improved operational resilience, automated delivery workflows, and provided long-term infrastructure control, establishing a scalable baseline for ongoing growth in our continued partnership.
